Sometimes you are struck by two people in such a way that it really bowls you over, for me it is like this with Nicky and Kenny. I remember when I first saw Kenny make Nicky really laugh; she sort of wrunkled up her nose, burst out laughing and radiated a million watt smile that, I’d swear, must have been visible from space! Kenny sort of rolled his eyes as if he was mocking her but then couldn’t help but start laughing himself…I have no idea what they were laughing about but that didn’t matter, I discovered that being in their company was infectious and I’ve loved every minute with them since. When it comes to being the best of friends and totally in love, these two have got it sussed.
Words cannot express how blown away I was when I walked into the hotel and saw the floral decoration, the cake (oh.my.goodness…the cake!) and the thrones! I think I actually said “wow!”, it was an absolute feast for the eyes!! Their ceremony was held in the gorgeous champagne bar at The Old Thorns and was followed by a drinks reception outside, overlooking the golf course. With the beautiful September sunshine on our side, I was one very happy lady! One of my favourite parts of the day was whisking the happy couple off on a golf buggy to take advantage of a few of the hotel’s key beauty spots, with 400 acres to play with, I couldn’t miss an opportunity like that!!
Nicky and Kenny are two of the easiest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with and photographing. I was touched by the moments when they didn’t know they were being watched as it was then that I saw the quiet, beautiful, tenderness between them…usually followed by a mock telling off and a wicked giggle from Nicky! With a look of mischief and a twinkle in the eye, these two are without a doubt, a perfect match.
You can’t marry without gorgeous shoes, right?
