It’s a sweet story this one…in more ways than one. Nicola and Josh met whilst working in a sweet shop when they were just teenagers and it was amidst bon-bons, eclairs and sherbet lemons that they fell in love.
Now, whilst these guys would have you think that they are not naturally ‘lovey dovey’ (seriously, at the start of their pre-wedding shoot they actually walked either side of me!!) if you take the time to get to know them, you realise that the lovey-doveyness is there…it’s just cleverly disguised in the gentle jibes, quiet looks of understanding and deep-rooted friendship; it’s this that makes them so absolutely ideal for one another. Their commitment to one another was made from the start, marriage is just the icing on the cake.
Their wedding was fantastic to photograph not only because of the gorgeous details and stunning scenery but mainly because of the truly wonderful people we met along the way. In particular, the bridal party (seriously, Nicola’s bridesmaids were an absolute hoot!) and their parents could not have been more friendly or welcoming if they’d tried…I felt a little sad to say goodbye at the end of the evening!
Fortunately for me, Nicola and Josh are not only creative and talented (the stationary, bunting and little artistic details were all of their own creation) they are just great fun to be around and to top the day off? Their romantic side made an appearance too…
