Pre-Wedding Photography, The Chilworth Manor Hotel, Southampton – Verity & James

The morning of my photo shoot with Verity and James was a bit chilly, a bit grey and as I stepped out of the car I realised, I didn’t know who I was looking for!

Unusually for us, this was the first time that we were to meet Verity and James after they booked us to photograph their wedding celebration party. Normally, we meet with our clients to discuss all the details of their big day waaayy before their pre-wedding shoot but you see, these two lucky love-birds are marrying in Mexico (without us!) at the end of the month.

I’m not going to deny that I would have LOVED to fly to Mexico to photograph their wedding because, let’s face it, these guys are utterly gorgeous and so, so, lovely BUT we do have the next best job…in January we’ll be photographing their celebration party at The Chilworth Manor Hotel with all their friends and family.

Fortunately for me, as soon as Verity and James walked into the hotel, I knew it was them.  Perhaps it was their searching faces, the bag in hand with the alternative clothing option and a prop or two but really, I think it was just that I hoped it was them…they looked like my kind of people!

Well, the weather stayed on our side and these guys were absolute naturals in front of the camera.  Thank you, both, for such a great morning; I can’t wait to see you again in the new year as  as ‘Mr and Mrs’.

The picture above really makes me giggle!  It looks like there is something  happening out of shot at either end of the bench but in reality, I’m at one end (no doubt making a fool of myself!) but I’ve no idea what was happening at the other end!

I love spontaneous moments like the above and below shot…Verity and James spotted a dog hurtling towards them and then he decided to jump into the shot!
