A few weeks ago I had a phone call from Penny enquiring about Wedding Photography for the end of July, next year I initially assumed….no, this year! Having originally had plans for a very small scale wedding with no photographer etc, “things” had stepped up a notch and she wondered if I was available. Luckily for me, I was and it was great to meet Penny and her lovely family last week for her pre-wedding shoot with Ted.
We met at Hound Church, where they will be marrying next week and wondered through the grounds chatting whilst Penny’s children set about Geo-Caching…it’s not something I know much about but I’ve quietly suggested to Geoffers that we give it a whirl this afternoon! The only downside to foraging for the right spot came when Maddy was “got” by a bunch of stinging nettles. After hunting for a dock leaf with no joy, Ted tended to her injury with rain water…it seemed to do the job rather well!
I was delighted to find a gorgeous field adjoining the church grounds and Penny and Ted happily obliged by standing in the long grass together whilst Flynn checked out the farm outbuildings and Maddy headed straight for the horses! With only a spot or two of rain (amazingly!) it was the perfect setting and it was great to get to know this lovely family a little better before the big day.
Enjoy the pics guys…I’m so looking forward to photographing you again next week!
