I met Laura a couple of years ago when she was a Bridesmaid at another wedding I photographed and I liked her straight away. It might have been because she and the bride laughed so easily that they were a dream to photograph or it might have been because she couldn’t do enough to make the day perfect for her lovely friends but mainly? I think it was the moment when I caught her wearing flipflops on the end of her beautiful bridesmaid dress and she posed unashamedly. I think that’s why I liked her so much, she was just great fun.
When Laura got in touch earlier this year to talk about marrying Ian next year, I was all ears. I visited them at their gorgeous little home in Sussex and we talked colour schemes, their love of the sea front and how Ian popped the question…I love hearing all that stuff! I was so pleased when they decided that I was the photographer for them and even more so after spending an hour or so with them for their pre-wedding session; they simply couldn’t have been kind enough when I locked my car keys in the car!!! (I know! Who does that, right?)
It was cold and windy but the sun peeped out and I wrapped up the session smiling. With my car keys. (Thank you, again, guys!)
