I met Emma, Jack and their two gorgeous daughters on a very changeable day in November…I drove through bad traffic and black cloud and parked up in torrential rain. I got out my mobile and whilst I ran into a tea room, I called Emma and said ‘If you’re nearer home than you are Burley, for goodness sake lets reschedule!!!’ Fortunately for me, the weather was about to do a -U-turn and by the time we met, the sky was blue and the sun was shining.
We chatted like old friends and after a session full of deer watching, acorn hunting and puddle splashing I was delighted that Emma and Jack’s eldest daughter Grace had decided that I was a friend worth having and happily took my hand and skipped through puddles with me!
Emma and Jack are marrying in an intimate family wedding in just a couple of weeks time – surrounded by their closest friends and family and with their two gorgeous daughters by their side, they will become husband and wife. This pre-wedding session made it absolutely clear that whilst marriage is about two people coming together and pledging their lives to one another, family is about loving, laughing and autumnal walks in inclement weather!
