Vicky and Lorraine first met with us not long after we’d become parents. we sat in their lounge (George was snuggled up in his car seat next to us) whilst we talked colour themes, event styling and dresses. In those early days of my ‘new life’ as a mother and photographer, it’s fair to say that I asked myself regularly if I’d bitten off more than I could chew. Sat their, talking business whilst sneaking sidelong peeks at my son, I wondered if they, too, questioned my ability to give 100% to their day….but they didn’t. And in that cosy first meeting, they confirmed for me all I needed to know, that these were two of the most fun loving people I could wish to meet and that they were utterly in love. I knew I wanted to photograph their day.
I think they married on THE hottest day of the year…how they kept so calm and cool I’ll never know! Being on the quayside at Gosport, I thought more than once about launching myself into the sea to cool off. Instead, at the end of a wonderful, beautiful and emotional day (yes, I did blub a bit during the ceremony!) when the serious partying started, Geoffrey and I raced home and promptly launched ourselves into Georges paddling pool…as you do!
What a fabulous day to remember, we wish you both happiness always.
