After watching the weather forecast non-stop for about three days I called Katia and said ‘Have you seen the forecast?’ It was AWFUL! I couldn’t bear the thought of Katia and Adam driving down from London to get utterly soaked on my account; so we rescheduled for the following weekend….and guess what? The weather was just the same!!
Katia and I were texting one other as they queued in traffic along the M25, whilst I waited for my children to finish ballet and all the while we gradually edged closer to The New Forest and, in doing so, we also shared titbits about our lives, how our mornings had been and discovered a mutual love of dance! When we clapped eyes on each other in the bar at Rhinefield House we embraced warmly, like old friends and headed for a drink before venturing out into the grotty February weather.
Following some easy chit-chat whilst we ate and drank, these two brave souls didn’t bat an eyelid at venturing out into the elements so we took a stroll through the grounds of Rhinefield House. The wind was definitely against us and the rain continued to pelt on down….it was pretty biblical if I’m honest…but they were all smiles and cheerfully admitted that they are pretty fond of the rain, which eased my guilt a little! The plus side of this for me was that I really do enjoy a good blustery/rainy walk and in the company of these guys, I was at my happiest as not only are they easy to chat to but they are entirely comfortable together and in themselves…you can’t ask for more than that!
I cannot wait to photograph Katia and Adam’s Wedding at Rhinefield House in just a week or so…we really are going to have an absolute blast!!!
