Photographing newborn babies is a huge perk of being a photographer – seeing little ones so early on in their life and documenting those amazing early days is a tremendous privilege. What made this bump to baby shoot even better was that I got to catch up with Lydia and Alex whose wedding I photographed in January of last year…there aren’t many jobs where you get to catch up with your clients year on year and witness some of the most magical days of their lives.
I can’t help but be amazed when I leave my couples after their maternity shoot, I see them stroking the bump and wondering when they’ll meet their baby and then I return and that little gorgeous pink bundle is cuddled up in their arms, a picture of perfect happiness. I think I always squeak a bit with joy for them all.
On this occasion, bump became Toby and what an absolute sweetheart he was! Check out the maternity images (taken in December) and newborn shots from just a couple of weeks ago.
