I’m not going to lie, when Paul first mentioned the Caribbean theme I was a teensy weensy bit nervous for them…after all, it’s a theme that really relies on good weather. You can imagine my relief when their big day dawned as clear and sunny as if we were beside the sea 5381 miles away (so Google tells me!) The day itself was packed with personal touches that made the day truly theirs, from the Rum Punch drinks reception to the fire eating and competitions in the evening…there is no doubt that the guests at this wedding will remember it for many years to come! For me, the magic of this wedding was in the less obvious personal touches, it was the shared moment of tenderness between Denise and her Mum as Denise put on her fathers ring; it was knowing that the day had been chosen for it’s particular sentimental value and in realising that one of their bridesmaids had travelled (leaving a very sick family member) just to be beside them whilst they married…all of these things together resulted in a golf ball sized lump in my throat.
After such a beautiful, colourful and enjoyable day I find myself struggling to put a blog together to justify it! How can I possibly condense all of that into a few words and a dozen or so pictures? Well…I tried to keep the words brief and instead just added in more pictures!
Thank you, Denise and Paul, for such a wonderful day. Enjoy your pictures!
