Sometimes, when you arrive at a Bride’s house on the morning of a Wedding you’re greeted with utter pandemonium! Children running around eating sausage rolls, bridesmaids frantically calling the florist to chase the flowers and sat in the corner looking rather green, is the Bride…but not Lizzie. She was a picture of bridal happiness; completely relaxed, smiling non stop and clearly relishing this day that she had been anticipating for so long.
Lizzie and Lewis married at St Johns Church, Hedge End and followed their ceremony with tea and cakes for their friends, family and the St Johns Congregation in the Underhill Centre. After a couple of hours of mingling with their guests, they drove to the beautiful Steeple Court Manor in Botley where a band played on the lawn whilst drinks and canapes were served in the gorgeous gardens.
The highlight, for me,was whisking the Bride and Groom off for a few photographs on their own. As we walked through the beautiful grounds to make the most of the stunning evening light, these guys were literally, glowing! The only problem was that they are so photogenic that I just wanted to keep going! I remember saying to Lewis “I’m so sorry, just a few more shots and I’ll let you get on with your day” to which he replied with a massive grin “I’m not bothered at all” and then with an extra big grin “I’m married!”
Lizzie and Lewis, thank you so much for allowing us the tremendous privilege of photographing your magical day.
Lizzie’s stunning Alfred Sung dress was from Josephines in Southampton
Utterly stunning flowers! These were created by the very talented team at Luv Flowers in Botley.
I love these girls! The moment that the Chief Bridesmaid, Ruth, got her heel stuck in a grate had to be one of the most amusing highlights from the day – especially when it got this reaction!
You gotta love it when a Dad has his last boogie with his daughter before escorting her to the Church…who can resist a little Elton John!
The two images above are just one of the reasons why I’m super glad that I invited the very talented Helen Moores of Alabama Photography to shoot this Wedding with us….just gorgeous!
Simply stunning!
It’s times like these that I feet lucky to be a photographer…who else gets to see these sort of private moments! I love these guys so much!
Abi, you take truly beautiful pictures and I am so sad you are not close enough to take pictures for me. Absolutely gorgeous xx
Gorgeous picture xx
