It’s been a long time coming but here is it, my first blog on our new website! What do you think? Swanky isn’t it? Yes, I just said swanky. I’m suddenly very conscious that it’s the kind of thing you’d expect an uncle to say about a new suit…not my uncles I might add, they’re FAR too cool to use such a word. I digress…
Just before I get to the main point of this post, I need to say a huge thank you to the wonderful Laura Harrison of 1973 Online who has done an amazing job turning my sketchy, erratic, incoherent thoughts into a beautiful masterpiece of a website! When we first talked about creating a site, I wasn’t sure if I really knew what I wanted. I showed Laura examples of sites that I did and didn’t like, I talked about the sort of “feel” that I wanted it to have and from then on, I was pretty much clueless. Patiently, Laura talked me through various different stages, made gentle suggestions and slowly but surely, an image of my new site formed in my mind. You can’t imagine my elation when Laura showed me her design – it was perfect! Far better than I could have imagined. She took my endless ramblings, email queries and confused text messages and made this! Thank you, Laura, from the bottom of my heart. You are a legend!
Now, onto the main part of the blog! The utterly gorgeous wedding of Emily and Mark!
As you may remember from their pre-wedding photo shoot, this is one lovely little family and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph their big day at Farbridge, Chichester last month.
Emily got ready with her sister and family at her parents’ house on the outskirts of Chichester town and we were made so welcome. I have rarely been in such a calm environment before a wedding, especially when there are children to get ready too! After a morning of chatting, photographing and nibbling yummies (thank you again for inviting us to share lunch with you!) we headed over to Farbridge to photograph the boys and capture the atmosphere before the Wedding.
Farbridge is such a beautiful location for a Wedding and the weather didn’t disappoint either. After a beautiful ceremony, guests chatted on the lawn and children ran freely in the sunshine…it was a picture-perfect setting.
Everything about this day was wonderful, from the table decorations and cake to the bride and groom themselves AND of course, their gorgeous daughter.
Emily and Mark, we are so delighted to have been able to document your love and wish you all the love and happiness in the world.
